Shelbourne Community Kitchen Endowment Fund
Contributions to our endowment fund with the Victoria Foundation will help to create a long-term source of funding for the Shelbourne Community Kitchen Society. Each year, a portion of interest on the capital is paid out to the Kitchen. As the fund grows, the interest will provide a stable stream of predictable income for programs.
There are two ways that you can donate to our endowment fund.
If you would like to donate through the Shelbourne Community Kitchen, please designate your donations “the Kitchen Endowment,” and either mail directly to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen (3541 Shelbourne Street, Victoria, V8P 4G6) or drop off during business hours Tues – Fri 10:00am – 2:00pm. A tax receipt will be issued for donations of $20 and over.
If you would like to donate through the Victoria Foundation, follow the link below. Be sure to select “Shelbourne Community Kitchen Society Fund” from the drop-down box under the heading “Select the fund your donation will support,” once on the Victoria Foundation donation page, to ensure your donation is added to our endowment fund.
If you would like more information about the endowment fund, please contact our board chair, Laura Cochrane at email@example.com
Tax receipts may be issued for your in-kind donations. Determining if your in-kind donations meet Canada Revenue Agency requirements will be done on a case by case basis. Please contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org)for further information.
