We need your support because vulnerable community members need our help now more than ever.
The COVID-19 pandemic has sharply increased the need for food support in our community. In response we have launched the COVID-19 Urgent Food Support Fund.
In ordinary times, addressing food insecurity is an urgent and pressing need. In this extraordinary time amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the need is even more urgent.
The Shelbourne Community Kitchen is working hard to meet the needs of our current program participants, as well as the additional individuals and families who are now living on low income and asking for our help.
Our Pantry program, vital in distributing nutritious food to those who need it, is in full gear and working to meet the increasing demand due to COVID-19, including: distributing food to people twice a month instead of once a month; increasing the amount of staple foods that we provide per visit; offering healthy drink and snack packs for people experiencing homelessness; and expanding our home delivery system to support our most vulnerable members who cannot leave their homes, many of whom are seniors or individuals with chronic illness.
We are also distributing important information about government subsidies and emerging community resources via email, social media and in print.
The COVID-19 crisis has affected our fundraising efforts as we cannot hold many of our annual fundraising events and campaigns. Please consider donating to our COVID-19 Urgent Food Support Fund today, so that we can continue to provide much needed food distribution and support to our most vulnerable community members.
Your donation can be made online, or it can be mailed to Shelbourne Community Kitchen

Thank you for your support!!!
